Larger Landscaping Projects

New Home - Before  After

At Country Earth we have been managing projects from $1,000 to $100,000 for 30 years.   We have a procedure that we follow which is designed to specifically produce the result you are expecting.

As you can appreciate, there are many variables in building or rebuilding a garden or outdoor area.  This means it is important to be flexible over the course of the project to achieve the best result.

So... Let us guide you through that process, in a straight-forward, predictable way...

1.VISIT

A site visit is the first thing to get the ball rolling.  The purpose of this is to meet you and discuss your visions and expectations for the project. During this meeting it is important for us to understand all the relevant aspects that are dependant on or will be affected by the improvements that we will be implementing.

There is a nominal fee for this visit which may take between 1 and 3 hrs depending on the size of the project.

Start With A Plan

2.PLAN

Once we have established what the project involves, we will then suggest that we draw a concept plan which will be developed into a working plan.

At this point we will tell you how much this will cost before we proceed.

3.COST ESTIMATE

We call it an estimate because many of the projects we manage involve a number of different trades and components.

Also, because we are dealing with something, that to many people is a bit abstract, until it starts taking physical shape, certain adjustments may be needed during the course of the project.

They are normally small alterations which may have the effect of increasing or  decreasing the cost.

Our priority is to deliver you something you are happy with and if it means putting a bit extra in, that’s what needs to be done.

4.CONSTRUCTION

Once the estimate has been accepted [this is normally within +/-10% as long as there are no dramatic alterations] we require a deposit of 10% and give you an approximate start date.

The most important aspect of managing any project is to make sure that everything is done in the correct sequence to ensure an effective operation.  We try to schedule the various components to maintain continuity.

During the project we try to maintain access for you and your family and keep the site reasonably clean, however due to the nature of the work it can get a bit untidy sometimes.  We also do provide a skip so that all resultant debris can be contained.

5. PROGRESS AND COMPLETION

The contract agreement will specify if and when any progress payments need to be made and after final inspection, the balance payable.

6. SUMMARY

Our experience has shown that the most successful projects are those where there is good communication between us and that we are both honest in our views on aspects of the project.

Even though we may not share the same view all the time, our objective is to completely understand what you want to achieve, and to match that concept with the design and content that will give you the best result for your investment.

Of course, you the client, are almost always right!
